  1. Oh dear, the poor kid. Would love to see the reaction when his name gets called out. One wonders if his parents thought that giving him that name would make him a laughing stock to any English speakers.

  2. Yeah, poor Andy Loo! When you see names like these, the decision to create or decide your own name (as an adult) appears more reasonable. This is because some people’s parents either have no clue (i.e. an ignorance of the English language) or are so emboldened by their own self-importance (i.e. celebrity and fame) that they choose novel names for their kids.

For the former, even though this may still involve being ignorant of English at least the novel names are self-inflicted. For the latter, celebrity parents should know better and it is a shame that it is the kids, and not the parents themselves, who are the ones who have to suffer. British celebrity chef Jamie Oliver is a recent example of such a parent who has named his children, for instance, Buddy Bear and Daisy Boo.

  3. Yeah, at least some are ignorant, but others are just plain stupid. I would love to see, in a decade or so, the unfortunately named kids taking legal action against their parent for "emotional trauma" or the equivalent!
